In Memory Of

Walter Edward Dunne, an army veteran and resident at Cedarbrook of Northville, passed from this life December 12, 2020, at the age of 86.

Walter was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann and dear father of Anne (Jim) Reed, Mark (Deborah), Therese (John) Chioini, Patrick (Maureen) and Jeannie (Ray) Berger. Walter was the cherished grandfather of 15.

Walter was the loving brother of Marion Nagle, Tad (Dorothy) Dunne, Mike (Gerri) Dunne and Margaret (Bob) Jassoy.

Walter was a proud graduate of Detroit Catholic Central High School and the University of Detroit, where he met Mary Ann, the love of his life. Upon graduation he served two years in the U.S. Army, followed by a distinguished career as an automotive advertising executive. Though he enjoyed his work, he will be truly remembered as a devoted husband and wonderful, caring father and grandfather. He was an avid sailor and photographer, and brought joy to everyone he met, including the staff at Cedarbrook senior living. Ever the optimist, he always found a reason to laugh, dance a little, or just appreciate every day.
