In Memory Of

Mary Ann Dunne, a resident of Canton, passed away on July 21, 2017, at the age of 82.

Mary Ann was the beloved wife of Walter for over 58 years and loving mother of Anne (Jim) Reed, Mark (Deborah), Therese (John) Chioini, Patrick (Maureen), and Jeanne (Ray) Berger. 

She was so devoted to her 14 grandchildren.

Mary Ann loved doing the daily crossword puzzle and could impressively answer many of the questions on Jeopardy!  She also enjoyed traveling with good friends and was an avid reader. 

One of Mary Ann’s greatest joys in life was being a teacher. She taught in Dearborn Heights for 27 years. She loved teaching Kindergarten and First Grade because the children came into her classroom in September, not knowing how to read, and would leave in June as readers! She touched so many children’s lives.
